Modern, energy-saving buildings require exact details for their realization. Solares Bauen offers consultation for the following topics: thermal bridges, air tightness, insulation, glazings, passive solar energy use, etc.
Energy-saving buildings should have as few thermal bridges as possible. Depending on the installation, thermal bridges can lead to substantial mildew problems. Sometimes, the effect of thermal bridges can also be overrated, and the measures to avoid them are costly while their energy saving effect is small. We help our clients to develop details and evaluate the problems behind condensation (danger of mildew) as well as the potential energy savings.
Example of a thermal bridge calculation for a window connection.
Historic buildings often have the problem that the building appearance must remain intact and therefore insulation must be applied inside the building. Even if interior insulation is the second best solution, a clear improvement in the thermal protection can be achieved with modern, environmentally compatible materials.
Unwanted leaks in the building cause drafts and high energy use. Assisted by air tightness measurements (blower door measurements), such leaks can be detected already during the building phase and sealed. We carry out certified measurements according to the Energy Saving Ordinance EnEV.
- EnEv certification
- Evaluation of the interior climate using dynamic building simulations
- certification for passive houses according to the Passive House Projection Package PHPP (Institut für Wohnen und Umwelt, Darmstadt)
- Services according to HOAI Part X
Using IR thermography, thermal bridges in the building can be identified and visualized. Even more valuable, in the meanwhile, is also the possibility of the system evaluation. With IR thermography, flow problems in storage tanks, radiant floor heating or solar collectors can be identified.
