Our goal is to combine the following:
- low investment and operating costs
- high comfort level for the indoor climate
- minimal energy demand
This is not easy since these aims, at times, are in opposition to each other. The entire process is an optimization process between the client, architect and expert planners. This process must begin at an early phase in the project in order to reach a satisfactory result.
What makes us different from the main stream of HVAC planning offices is that we can support this optimization process with a variety of tools based on our origins at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems.
At the beginning of every building project, the client asks a lot of questions such as: Does it make sense to exceed the amount of insulation required by law? What type of heat or cooling supply should I choose? Do I need a ventilation system or even air conditioning? What does it all cost? These and other questions can be answered within the framework of an energy consultation.
A further, central point in our work is a cost-benefit analysis. Such an analysis makes the decision process for the client easier when selecting certain measures or technologies.
Apects of energy concept:
- heat protection
- thermal bridges
- air tightness
- energy supply
- HVAC concept
- indoor room climate during summer
- daylight distribution
